They are those who disbelieved and who obstructed you from ‘Masjidul Haram (the Sacred Masjid)’ and the sacrificial animals from reaching their place of sacrifice; if there had not been believing men and believing women whom you do not know, and hadn’t you trampled them, the curse from among them hadn’t been befallen upon you without knowing, your hands wouldn’t been restrained; for Allah admitting into His Mercy whom He wishes, if they had been separated, surely We would have punished those who disbelieved from among them painful punishment.
On the Day of Maccan Fath’h (Maccan Victory), Messenger and believers weren’t given permission to do battle with the disbelievers who obstructed from the ‘Masjidul Haram’ and from the place ‘Mina’ where the sacrificing animals should be sacrificed. It was because there were some believers who were sent back from Madeena to Maccah according to the conditions made in ‘Hudaibiya Treaty’, and some other believers were there who concealed their belief. If the battle were happened, there would have a chance to harm the believing brothers without identifying them who were living mingling with the disbelievers. Not to happen this, Allah was avoiding a fight between the believers and disbelievers. ‘For Allah admitting into His Mercy whom He wishes’ mentioned in the verse means, the battle was avoided in order to witness the Book which will be codified in future in favor of them or against them.
Today the believers who are small in number, and the hypocrites are living mingled all over the world. Since today, there is no a group of believers anywhere in the world, the battle just like ‘Uhd battle’ as told in verses 3: 166-167 to separate the believers and hypocrites won’t happen. Instead, as explained in verse 6: 65, by dividing the hypocrites in to different organizations, Allah is causing them to fight among them mutually. As explained in verse 48: 6, when the believers in different parts of the world are separated to Hejaz, the Arabic Qur’an Reading Fujjar including the hypocrites and Mushriks who will accept the Antichrist as prophet and lord will be killed implementing the command of the verses 33: 60-61.
